Silverado EV Coming Soon

The future is on its way with an all-new, completely revolutionary type of vehicle. In the upcoming years, General Motors uncovered that in the upcoming years, they have plans to release an all-electric Silverado. Electric vehicles are becoming more and more popular, and automakers across the world are heading towards battery cells and power outlets. We’ve already seen a ton of electric vehicles released, covering a range of segments from SUVs, sedans, performance vehicles, and so much more. For Chevrolet, the time for an all-electric truck has come. The Stanley Auto Group welcomes these massive changes to the Silverado lineup and embraces a new type of high-powered truck.

The Silverado EV

The plan for an electric truck is a sure thing, but its release date remains unclear with the hope of a reveal in the not-so-distant future remains. We do, however, know a few details of what is to come. The Silverado EV shares a platform with the upcoming Hummer EV, and it's just as likely the powertrain will also be similar. This translates into multiple electric motors which will vary in amount depending on the trim level but could potentially add up to a maximum of 1,000 horsepower. Much like their current model lineup, the Silverado EV is likely to have base models available for fleet sales with upgraded features and amenities as they move into the higher trims. The truck will likely come at a time with a fair amount of competition, such as the Tesla Cybertruck and Ford F-150 Lightning, but none other EV trucks have the Silverado name and legacy behind them.

Chevy Goes Electric

Chevrolet joins many other brands by introducing electric vehicles among their already highly popular vehicle lineup. The brand is no stranger to greener vehicles, as it already has had a handful of models available for several years. In 2016, Chevrolet released a hybrid model of one of its top-sellers, the Chevrolet Malibu. This Malibu began with outstanding emissions ratings with an impressive 48 miles per gallon and has since improved its specs as the years went on. Chevrolet introduced the Spark in 2015, which had the serious benefit of being one of the lowest-priced electric vehicles available. It remains a highly popular option among EV users. Since then, Chevrolet released the compact Bolt, and the larger sedan the Chevrolet Volt, which retired in 2019 as the best-selling electric car in America.

Benefits of Electric Vehicles

Electric vehicles are hitting the dealerships as strong and powerful vehicles capable of everything your average gas-powered car or truck can do. Along with more power than ever before, there are a ton of benefits to owning electric depending on where you live. There are more tangible perks such as priority parking and HOV lane access. There are also financial benefits which may include tax breaks, incentives, rebates, and discounts depending on your city’s or state’s specific regulations. There are even incentives at the federal level for drivers to head towards electric cars, as well as the added benefit of contributing to a greener future.
