The History of Ford
Henry Ford founded Ford Motor Company back in 1903 as a company focused on innovation and quality. Ford was the first to use assembly lines to build vehicles, which would revolutionize the way automobiles were manufactured and increased the number that could be sold dramatically. Ford began labelling their vehicles by letters with the Model T being one of the most popular. It was also the first Ford model to sell millions while it was available for almost two decades. The Model A replaced it as the first to include safety glass in the windshield.
Ford added Mercury to its lineup as a higher-end version of the Ford models. Mercury was first introduced in 1939 to add to Lincoln, which was in the luxury car market as part of the Ford company since 1922. Ford’s most popular model was introduced to the world in 1964 with the Mustang. In the early 2000s, the sport utility vehicle market exploded, and Ford created their own versions with the Escape, Explorer and Expedition.
Ford has been making trucks since the early 1900s, starting with the Model TT. Pickup trucks became a staple for the manufacturer with the F-Series becoming a household name. Today, you can see the truck development in the F-150 and Ford Ranger.

Sights in Texas
Nicknamed the Lone Star State, Texas has enjoyed a rich history with many countries ruling it at different times and even a short period where it was an independent republic. Four major industries shaped the state with cattle, cotton, oil, and timber. Today, much of the land is still agricultural, but the cities have developed into major metropolitan areas with plenty of diversity. You will find many things to see and do whether you are visiting or a resident of this great state.
- San Antonio River Walk – Spanning several miles along the river, this walkway weaves its path through the city and enjoy the shops and restaurants along the way.
- The Alamo – Established in 1718, this historic site became a fort where a small group of Texans used it as a barricade against a large Mexican army in the Texas Revolution.
- Space Center Houston – Located near one of the largest cities in the state, this space center provides tours to help visitors learn about space exploration.
- Big Bend National Park – Enjoy some of the most beautiful scenery in nature with mountains and canyons as well as the river which separates the state from Mexico.
