How EV Maintenance is Different From Gasoline Vehicles

Your Power

When it comes to how your power is generated, EV and conventional models differ significantly.

This can make them last much longer. 
• Conventional: It takes a lot of energy to bring your model to stop, especially when you’re traveling at high speeds. This results in an immense amount of heat which can eventually cause wear. When you visit your mechanic, you’ll want to make sure that your rotors and pads are routinely inspected, and you’ll want to keep an ear out for squealing or squeaky sounds. As for your tires, you’ll just need standard maintenance. 

A Maintenance Routine

For your routine maintenance, you’ll want to keep these factors in mind:

• EV: Eclectic models usually don’t need maintenance very often. If you have a gearbox or transmission though, you’ll want to make sure that they receive the care they need to keep functioning properly. You’ll also want to pay attention to your fluids.
• Conventional: When it comes to routine maintenance, nothing is more important than your oil. Going without can cause serious harm to your engine, so you’ll want to pay attention to your due date. You’ll also want to pay attention to fluid like your coolant, and other small details like your windshield wipers. These small touches can go a long way when it comes to staying safe on the road.
