New for 2022

Chevrolet makes some small but noticeable changes for the 2022 Silverado 2500 and 3500 models. The most notable addition for the truck is the expanded availability and function of the brand’s Multi-Flex Tailgate. The tailgate gives you easy access at nearly any angle and includes a fold-down inner gate, an inner and primary gate load stop, a full-width step for bed access, and an integrated work surface. The Multi-Flex tailgate is now available for each Silverado HD model.

Both trucks come with multiple options as far as engines, but the 2500 and 3500 display their largest differences when it comes to towing power. The 2500 HD boasts a maximum of 18,510 pounds of towing capacity, whereas the 3500 HD boasts nearly double that at 36,000 pounds. The trucks feature a Duramax 6.6L turbo-diesel V8 engine with 445 horsepower and 910 lb-ft of torque; Chevrolet’s most powerful truck to date.
