Super Cruise Technology

You can now travel hands-free for more than 200,000 miles on compatible roads in the United States and Canada with the enhanced version of Super Cruise. Super Cruise can automatically perform hands-free lane changes and maintain your set speed all while pulling a trailer. Hands-free towing adjusts specific calibrations for the additional drag and increased braking distance that comes with pulling a trailer. Super Cruise can also perform automatic lane changes when you're not pulling a trailer, helping keep you cruising smoothly. 

Sierra Powertrains

The 2022 Sierra 1500 comes with four different engine options that have something for everyone. Offering 20 percent more torque than the previous 2.7-liter turbo, this year’s enhanced 2.7-liter turbo has an impressive 420 lb-ft of torque and delivers 310 horsepower with an 8-speed automatic transmission. Ready for work or play is the 5.3-liter V8 that offers 355 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque with a 10-speed automatic transmission. The 3.0-liter Duramax turbo-diesel is efficient and powerful providing 277 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque with a 10-speed automatic transmission and can tow up to 13,200 pounds. Standard on the Denali Ultimate is a 6.2-liter V8 paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and delivers 420 horsepower with 460 lb-ft of torque.

Advanced Technology

 An all-new available 13.4-inch Diagonal Infotainment System is now featured on the Sierra SLE, Elevation, SLT, AT4, AT4X, Denali, and Denali Ultimate. The Infotainment System offers a wide variety of screen combinations, reconfigurability, and other features to make a personalized driving experience. New Sierra 1500 Trim Levels

For the 2022 model year, GMC is expanding the Sierra lineup with two new trim levels. For off-road enthusiasts, the AT4X is the way to go with Multimatic DSSV dampers, Terrain Mode with one-pedal crawling, and rear e-locking and front e-locking differentials. The AT4X trim comes standard with a plush interior of massaging seats and leather upholstery while being equipped with a 6.2-liter V-8 engine. The Denali Ultimate is Sierra’s new top trim which comes standard with upgraded suspension, power assist steps, adaptive ride control, and GM’s MultiPro tailgate.
